Meet Alicia Cuglietta
C-IAYT, E-RYT500, TIYT – Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapist | Pelvic Floor & Nervous System Specialist
Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
My teaching journey began like many others: with pain. Back pain brought me to yoga over 20 years ago, and what I discovered was far more potent than physical relief. I learned how movement, breath, and awareness can shift the nervous system, soften stress patterns, and support healing at every level.
As I continued my training, I became deeply drawn to trauma-informed yoga therapy and the profound role the nervous system plays in our well-being. And then, like so many women, I faced pelvic floor challenges of my own — including the “sneeze-pee” that can happen after having multiple children and overactivity that comes from trauma. Creating a custom practice for myself not only improved my symptoms but sparked a passion for this often-taboo area of the body.
The more I studied, worked with clients, and listened to their stories, the more I recognized how closely pelvic health is tied to anxiety, back pain, chronic tension, and lived experience. My background in these areas naturally came together, shaping the therapeutic programs I offer today.
Every day, I’m grateful for the privilege of sitting with others — holding space as they reconnect with their bodies, rediscover their own inner wisdom, and learn gentle, sustainable ways to support their healing.
